Small creek close to home!

It was a beautiful day in January.  Bright sun, with minimal wind.  I had a rather large sheet of gessoed Strathmore paper that I was wanting to try to take on location.  This place is a block or two from where I live.

  1. Here is a detail to show the texture of the paper.  I have been using it for years in figure studies, but this is the first time that I have taken it outside for landscapes.  I tape up the edges and tape it onto a lightweight drawing board.  Worked well.

So this is my first blog on bloggspot.  Go to www.olivettehubler.com
and look under "come along with me blog"  and archives for more blogs.  This is fun?!
